Carthage College Professor
JJ Shields is a professor of marketing and management at Carthage College. He has worked with several major corporations, including Miller Brewing Co., ABB Robotics, and Snap-On. JJ has been running this study tour to Gothenburg for many years and continues to establish more connections in the area.

Jan Owens
Carthage College Professor
Dr. Jan Owens is a former Carthage professor. Dr. Owens traveled to Gothenburg with JJ many times during her years at Carthage, and decided to continue the tradition into her retirement. Jan continues to travel with her husband, whether that be cross-country drives or international travel.

Carthage College is a four year private liberal arts school located in Kenosha, WI. Carthage is centrally located midway between Chicago, IL and Milwaukee, WI, providing students with a lot of unique opportunities as a student and post graduation. As part of the academic year, Carthage offers a unique J-Term opportunity to all current students. This course occurs during the month of January and gives students the opportunity for short-term study abroad tours, like this one!
